Default Bundles - The GW Pizza Guy.

I originally posted this to the
The Does A-Net Hate Melee Thread but it was later removed as that thread focused on and was moved to the PvP Forum, Fair enough. But as Two members responded and I thought the post asked a serious Question; I thought I would reintroduce the Question here.

Quote:
I was playing through Mission today and as usual you have this bundle to tote around; and as per; you get the Domino's Guy with 12 Pizza's graphic. And while for a Caster this is a pain; A Ranger or Warrior has to put down the bundle every time you engage and pick it up again every time you move on; a small thing, but again a Bias against Physicals; and I expect those Seconds pile up doing speed clears;

Honestly I very much hope they Ditch the Domino's Graphic for GW2 let us put Quest items in our pack or at least in a Weapons Slot; I don’t need a ridiculous cartoon to know this or that character is carrying the vine seed or vision crystal. No? Your thoughts.
Honestly Do you think that the way Bundles are handled can/ should be improved; (at least in GW2) and would it not be better to be able to click on a Hero, and then an Item; much like Targeting an NPC; and so assign that Hero as the Carrier of the Bundle instead always having a (often the) PC playing Pizza Guy. Your Thoughts? BB.

All I want for bundles is:
- The ability to bundle them in your back, freeing your hands.
- The ability to give them to other players and heroes without dropping them (excepting ritualsit item spell bundles)

Yes yes yes doing all the bundle missions is such a pain with a phys, and there's a lot of missions with that mechanic (anyone else ever thought "screw saint victor's urn/archemoruos spear, I'd rather have my hands free to fight"?) so a simple solution to that would be great (I don't know if it's faseable for heroes to carry it).

I agree...having to carry these bundles and repeatedly drop them to fight is a pain..never mind how ridiculous I look when running and carrying these things. As for the comment by Mintha Syl (above) whenever I do the Sunjiang District mission, I don't even bother with those carrying either of those items. I have also noticed in that specific mission how foes conveniently move out of aggro of either the spear or the urn after you drop it, causing myself to have to run back and retrieve it. In my opinion it is such a waste of time ESPECIALLY seeing as that is a timed mission.

At least it would be nice with a hero button "Pick up nearest bundle in the area", same button would then let them drop it.

No need to add a button. The target button would simply turn into "Pick up" button while targeting a bundle.

True, but it would also complicate things having to target bundles when you could have just continued playing the game killing mobs while hero picks it up in a single click.

Yes but for a one time inconvience of having the hero pick up said bundle, you would free up a Ranger, or War PC for the duration of the trip. As a Ranger Prime I would hugely appreciate the option (Any Dev's Listening?) BB.

Anet won't read this for two reasons.

1 - They don't have the time or resources to spend on people trawling through non-official forums (they'll pop into riverside when big things/issues happen but that's about it).

2 - Anet reading this would violate intellectual property laws. Check the rules sticky. Sardelac is essentially now for distilling ideas and gauging public opinion. If you want Anet to actually see it you'll need to post it somewhere official.

Its always been anoying >_<, ive been playing with solo H/H for years and years and its painfull.

I'm fine with it though now, aslong as it doesn't completely prevent me doing the mission/dungeon solo. If i'm melee i just bring some PvE shouts or w/e for when im holding.

Worst thing for me... is that pets will not attack... easily >_<, though thats another issue.

BB re: I would not expect them too, not any old Board but I certainly felt GW Guru had something of a relationship with A-Net.

I honestly would not know, but it would seem to me if you broadcasting an Idea on a public board, your rather surrenduring any claim to it later; that said I never expect the law to make intuitive sense. nuff said.
